Good point TLC !!!
I have seen people on SI take 100k+ haircuts in the past year. Needless to say they no longer post on any forms. There have been many talented people flow through the turnstiles over the years, some are still here, many are not. It is easy to get wrapped up in the euphoria of the moment, when it looks as though everyone is becoming a millionaire. That is likely the best time to get out. Read posts from people like Tom Trader who were around in 1987. He tells stories of the day the market crashed and some stocks had no bid, needless to say you can imagine the carnage.
Best Regards to all
Darrell

Your chronicle of how shorting can be disatrous reinforced by own beliefs...that was quite a story.

I've made a decision to gather some DD on NTKI (not one of my usual trading areas) and would be interested in others comments. I posted the following this morning on NTKI thread, also asking for insights.

techstocks.com

All comments appreciated - in the meantime "Inside Wall Street" of Business News" Nov. 19 issue will feature positive news on ANV, MODI, and RRI, the latter being a takeover play. I don't follow these 3, but some of you may do and so if you have online Biz Week subscriptioins, you may want to check out these stories...before the mag hits thke streets. (I hope this thread continues to encouraage sharing of DD sources when one asks for help...quid pro quo!)

Look forward to any comments re NTKI...many thanks.

P.S. One other thing - there seems to be a mixed consensus among the traders I know as to whether earnings released on a Friday or Monday is perceived positive or negative...what has been the general experience of traders on this thread? (putting numbers aside...just speaking of Friday vs. Monday release)...Personally, I am waiting for release from Yogen Fruz, either today or Monday and that is why I'm asking. Care to share your opinion?
