I have been thinking about all the companies right now buying new computer equipment to be Y2K compliant. Here in Canada, the government is giving tax breaks to companies if they upgrade equipment that is not Y2K compliant. This break ends around the second half of 1999. SEE:

All this buying right now could be another reason for the strong computer sales. Another thing, how much mark up in these cheap 1000-1500 dollar computers?

So when this Y2K buying spree is over, are we going to say DELLBEAR?
