My NT exploration looks to be taking a back seat to getting this machine operational under Win98 and then overclocked.

My NT installation was in the back seat for awhile but has since moved to the trunk:) I have a feeling I will be waiting for 5.0.

Looks like the rule is to put the boot-able partitions first, then the extensions in associated boot-able order. I'll have to think about the implications to shortcuts implied.

Drive letter sequences/changes definitely need consideration.

A few thoughts..

1. Format a second harddrive with only extended partitions. This will cause the extended partitions on the primary drive to follow C in sequence before letter assignments to a second drive.

2. Using Partition Magic...hide an active bootable partition on the second drive. This will require 'unhiding' before booting the second drive.

3. Keep all (most) programs/shortcuts associated with a drive in the same partition. Keep extended partitions for storage of Drive Images.

4. Format FAT 32 for larger primary drive. Partition Magic will change from FAT to FAT 32 without loss of data (involves some risk..suggest a Drive Image backup before a resize or reformat).

5. Use a boot manager
