More over you can still use your fax and phone while running your hardware. but that's all old hat, ala AMATI now part of TXN, PAIR, WSTL, ORCTF and AWRE

Only problem is AVCO doesn't make ADSL modems but WESTELL (WSTL) does

then why is AVCO getting so much attention?? People are bidding it up like they DO make the modems and own the technology. IMO

It may not be a WSTL modem, there was talk of GTE using Cisco DSL modems, Dell even sells some in certain markets as OEM DSL modems. Or they could be a number of other's modems.
