Katherine, Or, put another way, maybe the low RS numbers mean that Wall Street really did understand that this dip is more severe than 1996. Good point. But, if I were a betting man I would say that they just did not want to caught at the train station like they were in 1996. Up till now WS appears to have been holding up the Semi-equipment (amat) when all of us thought the stock would drop into the teens.

Now, WS appears to be hyping the Semi future which I believe will become even greater when Amat breaks through $40 and a RS in the 90's. Looking at the 1996 DW TA chart when AMAT broke $40 it went straight up to $50 where it had a training range from $50-$41.

When AMAT hit $40 in 1996 the training range on the shakeout low was to $35. Buy, the past is not sign of this year even though they appear to have been tracking each other.

The PE high of 51 was the high in 1996. I can see WS taking the PE to the same heighth.

Just my $.02.
