rich, thanks for being able to put your biases aside and see what i'm saying. b/c i'm not jumping at every word intel said and b/c i apply basic critical thinking processes to my evaluation of company comments, everyone leaps to the conclusion that i'm "wrong" or don't have a clue.

my historical and current perspective are absolutely 100% correct. i've never claimed to know the future. i don't think the drivers that caused intel to stumble into lower earnings/share than 2 years ago (read - no growth) have subsided. the fact the stock pruice is up 70% since then indicates even more risk ought to be placed in the risk/reward model.

boxes still getting cheaper (where demand is), competition is getting stronger, marginal bang for processor buck substantially decreasing and pricing power is still lacking (record revenues w/o record earnings).

these are all issues. my investing style isn't emotional and feel good. it is analytical. the emotional, feel good types refuse to look at the substance of my posts and just see blood red.

i'm not saying intel can't begin to grow at 20%. i am saying that they aren't now and i can't see the driver(s) going forward. no bull has been able to even discuss drivers as i don't think their emotional, feel good pseudo "analysis" even understands the underlying business.

they just understand a rising stock price. to their way of thinking, the stock price is the business.

thanks for 1. reading my posts and 2. understanding my posts and 3. not letting emotions drive your response.

if you are long intel, i wish you luck. keep your eyes open, though.
