That's weird. I didn't know Intel would knowingly tell people that certain chipsets have taped out. You can imagine how such information, whether true or false, can fuel a lot of speculation and unwanted hype.

Intel's product & design cycles proceed rather regularly - although deliberately in most cases. The progress is then more easily monitored.

NSM and AMD don't have that regimented process to follow - hence the erratic performance and information availability.
