Why don't you give the company a chance to respond to the NASD request. If they can substantiate the PR, then the company is not in the wrong. You obviously bought this stock on the pure hype that occurred today. Did you research the company before you invested? Did you see the BV of this company is less than a buck? You made the decision to buy this stock, now it is time for you take responsibility for your decision. Unfortunately, it may be a costly decision. Hopefully not.

Whether the stock goes up or down when it opens, there will be people that will lose huge amounts of money. For every winner, there is a loser, and in this case the amounts are magnified. Best of luck to everyone on this one. I am glad to be on the sidelines.

Keith

Read my POST#26:

AVCO is an internet provider, they do not own the ADSL technology.
Companies like Pairgain, Aware and such do. People misread the release. The stock is driven by greed and a small float. By the way,
my ETrade broker said the stock is not marginable, hence not shortable. Unless you subscribe to a full-service broker, you could not have shorted the stock today.

I expect the stock to come down quite a lot tomorrow. Sorry guys.

If this stock opens at $3, is there any course of action we as investors can take for being lied to/misled?

Who lied to you? I glanced at the press release and saw no falsehoods, just standard PR. xDSL technology's been around for a while. US West offers it too (http://www.uswest.com/com/customers/interprise/dsl/) but I wouldn't buy it because compared to cable modems they're raping the consumer.

Oops. Maybe I should have bought some US West before I said that...

All you have to do to get your money back, Deeber, is sell when it hits 50 after the pullback. Then you'll be in the black, for sure.

>>>>If this stock opens at $3, is there any course of action we as investors can take for being lied to/misled? I am pretty damn pissed now that I am looking at a big loss, and I feel I deserve the chance to fight for my money that was "stolen" from me.<<<<<

There definitely will be a ton of lawsuits. There always are after a stock causes people to lose a lot of money. But they will just be frivalous. The company's press release did say what they were doing. The headline might have been deceiving but the article did say what they planned on. I don't think the company really deceived anyone. It was just a mania that started and got carried on by CNBC etc.
It's a shame that people lose money and get hurt but if you are investing in a stock that is already up 500% it is very risky and you shouldn't be playing with your retirement money.

I feel bad for the people who are sitting with their shares at a big loss and don't know what to do.

ANyway, my guess is an open in the 5-7 range. it'll see wild swings but the bottom line is that this was a 2 dollar stock will probably settle close to that again in the coming weeks. Sad, Very sad.
