robbie, [edited] actually Jay's post was reasonable at the time he wrote it, Sep 24. He never told anyone to sell then. AMAT had a high trailing PE of ~50 in summer '97. It now has a forward PE of 64. ($38.75x0.60 E from Zack's consensus) So I can't agree now is the time to buy either. This stock sells on year 2000 earnings. That doesn't mean it won't go higher, just that it is a bubble.
