Max90, the information about the modem coming from GTE is there on the Avtel site, however, as you suggest it's buried and must be dug out. At first I thought they were making a claim for a new technology.

I consider myself fairly knowledgeable to xDSL and had to bounce around from news article to company web site and so on before I was able to fully understand they were only offering ADSL service, then it took more time to dig up the GTE DSLink connection.

The news release appears to have been directed at the investing public...not primarily to draw customers...IMO.
