Well, I'll lay odds against the likelihood that Dan is going to trundle you there in a wheelbarrow, Francis! :-)

That's like someone thinking they're going to get me to do their DD for them anymore!

Suggest you ditty-bop over to travelocity.com and get a ticket; ATA seems to have good prices from central US.

Well now that I've managed to fall out of my bunk and turn on my laptop (geeez, what a world-class headcold), I guess I will throw this little ditty in here also:

Xin Net Corp. Makes Announcement

Business Wire - August 17, 1998 08:17

Jump to first matched term

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 1998--Further to the press release of July 24, 1988 announcing the name change, the company has received several reports concerning confusion over our new symbol "XNET".

The "XNET" symbol had been previously used by an unrelated company and unfortunately their news releases and some stock charts are still being linked to our company. We have already contacted Star Quote and Dow Jones to have the problem rectified.

At the end of July 1998, the company's China operations have over 11,500 subscribers and again reported an operating profit. Xin Hai is a recognizable brand name in China, its subscriber base ranks fifth in Beijing and third in Shenyang. Management's strategy for future growth include:

(i) Bundling of services with PC manufacturers and retailers.

(ii) Referral and long term reward systems with existing subscribers and retailers.

(iii) More value added services.

(iv) Systems integration services.

An August 12th article in the Wall Street Journal reported that major North American computer manufacturers including Compaq, Packard Bell, IBM and Gateway are all looking towards the Internet as their next strategic move in an attempt to improve profit margin.

Xin Hai has already advanced in that direction in working and marketing closely with China's leading PC manufacturers. As one of the few successful ISP's in China, management's strategies are aimed at achieving an accelerated rate of growth in subscribers and improve its position in the market.

Any forward-looking statement in this press release is made pursuant to the "safe harbor" provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. Investors are cautioned that actual results may differ substantially from such forward-looking statements.

Xin Net (OTC BB:XNET) disclaims any obligation to update any such factors or to publicly announce results of any revision to the forward-looking statements contained herein to reflect future events or developments.
