One does have to argue that if CBS holds 80% of infinity and the infinity stock went up 25%, that CBS share would go up significantly sicne the value of their infinity holding were just increased in value by the street. Let's say Infinitly represents 50% of the total value of CBS at the IPO. If those share go up 25%, woudl CBS not go up 12.5%?

Theoretically possible, but, perhaps since the CBS holding can;t be readily sold, they have will carry a lower value.

In any event, if the IPO make people believe infinity is worth say 40 a share, then CBS would (should) have to go up based on the market cap and value of infinity assigned by the street>
