I found this quite interesting:

My current quarterly estimate of total unit shipment is about 960,000 units, with 500,000 of them being iMacs. Analyst Lou Mazzucchelli of Gerald Klauer Mattison & Co. also expects more than 550,000 iMacs to be shipped for the quarter. If Apple meets these numbers I expect the company to report knockout earnings in January. With the strong Christmas buying season still ahead, Apple is definitely on track to deliver those numbers.

Both Mazzucchelli and Eric have been quite accurate in the past with their projections. And now both agree on over 500K iMacs for this quarter. This bodes well for Apple...
