ZAnalyzer, Nothing personal against the Kinnard Brokerage, but be very careful shorting this one. From the conference call, I came away with a much stronger feeling about the flip chip/chip packaging business, and improved DD business in general.

There aren't that many competitors in the flip chip arena and Flip Chip Technologies in Phoenix, a maker of chip packages (i.e. provides components for guys like INVX to assemble) predicts that flip chip demand will grow 38% annually over the next five years. Smartflex, Adflex, and Continental Circuits flip chips in volume. 3M makes flip chips but mainly for internal usage. And IBM's old Toronto manufacturing wing, now CLS makes flip chips. Hyundai also makes flip chips in China. There are also about a dozen specialty shops that make small custom flip chip orders. That is a not a huge manufacturing base.

Where are flip chips going? Go back and read Adflex's quarterly report . Demand is headed upward. Indeed look at AFLX's stock up from $2 3/4 when I noted it here on the Thread to $8/share, a 191% gain in less than two months.

Admittedly I am long in the stock, but I'll be glad to buy the dips here.... There are other much better short candidates than INVX. INVX is transforming itself into an ECM and this is an area of the hardware industies that is expected to maintain 25-30% revenue growth rates for the nexr five years... Good luck.

Sincerely,

Doug F.
