"I was wondering if by year end 1999 you mean fiscal year end June 30th 1999 or annual year end Dec 30th 1999." As far as I was aware, references at the meeting to year-end referred to the calendar year. There was no specific mention of the company's fiscal year. I honestly did not know, until you mentioned it, that the company's fiscal year ends on June 30th.

You also asked about the new PR firm. Representatives from the firm were present, but there was not much information about their plans and role. Sadly, the one mention was about a San Francisco Chronicle article about the AIDS dementia complex trial; the article apparently had a negative twist to it. I haven't seen the article, but everyone agreed that the PR firm must do better in the future. The excuse for the initial failure, which everyone seemed to accept, was that Russel Welch was so new on the case (having just been hired a couple weeks ago) that we should expect a glitch or two as they get their PR program up and running. Again, we were not given any details on what shape that program may take, so my impression was that Russel Welch is still at the formative stage of putting its program together.
