Hello Dave !

Your thoughts are insightful and brings clarity to the topic and confirms my need for MSWIN. Thank you for your kindness.

I want to share an insight about TA that I received in communicating with Bob Jagow on the MetaStock 6.0 board as I searched for information on MSWIN and WOW.

Bob

I must humble myself and thank you for an opening in what my mind see.

When I sent you a response to Yep What I read was Yipe. I said to myself, I really didn't understand why he would say that. I thought the yipe meant that the answer was so obvious and you didn't need to explain further. It wasn't until an hour later driving home from work and I was still asking why did Bob say yipe. That , I started laughing, because I realize you didn't say Yipe, but Yep(meaning you agree with what I said in the previous post). Then, I thought my response was such, that I could possible pull it off and didn't need to admit that I misinterpreted your post.

However, I want to come clean and move on and tell you something that I learned yesterday. This misunderstanding applies to TA. I can look at a chart and see something good there and entry a trade. The trade goes sour on me and I exit. I go back to the chart again and see where my judgment went astray, because my mind is truly see what is being display with the indicators. That is why it is important to review the bad trades to see what you missed in the decision process. But now I realize it more important to look at the winning trades, because you want to model your success and just reproduce them.

Thank you for that opening and now my mind is more focused on see what is really there Vs what mind thinks it there. This lesson will make me a lot more successful trades and can be applied in other areas of my life.

Have a truly exceptional day!!

Tom

Dave: Excuse my ignorance but is MSWIN the same as Metastock 6.5? Is this what you use for the charts on your home page? Being a stock market participant off and on for many years. I have had the experience of when I buy a stock it seems to immediately go south so I have ended up doing Mutual Funds. What can Metastock do to help me select individual stocks successfully?

Thanks Dennis
