You guys. That's a prima ballerina, rudedog I assume Xiao can put in the Bookself disk and look up "prima donna". From the Italian for "first lady", the primary definition is the principle female singer in an opera company. The more general definition is just somebody who's good but temperamental and maybe not as good as they think. From Random House unabridged: a temperamental person; a person who takes adulation and privileged treatment as a right and reacts with petulance to criticism or inconvenience. I don't think any special technical connotation is necessary, it's just a run-of-the-mill pejorative. A little more sophisticated that the popular "whiner" and "crybaby", but not much.

Cheers, Dan.

P.S. I would have copied the definition out of Bookshelf Basics myself, but apparently I'd have to reinstall it since my CD drive assignment got changed. Microsoft, heal thyself.
