Rotting eggs...

DR, PPOD takes grocery orders over the Internet. Their only competition is NetGrocer, which only serves up dry goods. NetGrocer has run into big problems because its business model just does not work.

IMHO, PPOD has bounced back for (a) tehcnical reasons and (b) the perceived failure of NetGrocer. PPOD's recent earnings statement is not that great, but I think the perception is that PPOD has an Internet niche without any decent competition.

The problem with PPOD's service is that they have to make deals with local grocers. The differences in reliability vary widely. But I think PPOD will find a loyal core of customers, like shut ins, handicappers and wealthy people.

Would I buy the stock? Not right now. I am waiting for PPOD to branch out into catering and bulk sales. Now that would catch my attention real fast.
