In regards to AVCO "new" modem - it has been offered in Winnipeg for almost 8 months now. It is called ADSL and works over the phone line. I have used both cable and ADSL, and cable is still the superior system. Both have similar downloads (1.5Mb/s), however the upload for for ADSL is only 64k/s. In addition, ADSL cost way more than cable. Cable - $40/m unlimited service, ADSL $100/m for limited downloads. Plus you can't have ADSL on continously. Just thought I would point this out incase anyone was thinking about switching their line over.

Best Regards
KEITH

A note of thanks and appreciation to you, Chief, for all the time and effort you have put into making your views known to the proper people, in trying to make the system more efficient for Canadian daytraders!

It only takes one person to effect change sometimes..as we have all heard its the "squeaky wheel" that gets the grease..<g> One small step for Canadian traders, one giant step for....enough of cliches..

I look forward to the day when we have, $9.95 a trade, am I unrealistically dreaming? LOL
