John, If valuation is strictly perception, then a stock is never undervalued or overvalued as the present price reflects the joint perception of all investors. If certain perceptions are deemed more important than others then their underlying rationale needs to be examined for accuracy. DELL has ROIC of 198%, more than 4 times the next boxmaker. The other boxmakers have to improve a lot, IMO. I agree that DELL has to work hard, but what is in the earnings report to indicate that they are not doing so? Quite the contrary.
