Yesterday, there was around 18,000 new open interest. And the spot chased the futures up. Today the total volume on the GOZ8 is 45830 of a total open of 64,133 So what do you thnk, short squeeze? The US dollar index is at 95.82 and should continue to appreciate, and thus set an increasing gap between Gold value, and it's spot price. Gold's value is around $278 {based on a basket of currencies} NOW, why would anyone consider that any junior mining company will have a turn around in value, when during the last year, ALL comodities have gone up in CDN dollars? And the juniors have dragged their collective feet. This suggests that the recent commodity deflation is far from over... expect Gold, and the other commodities to decrease.
