In their printed publication, the Federal reserve Bank of St. Louis uses something called MZM in place of m1. This stands for "Money--Zero Maturity."

M1 is no longer considered reliable because banks sweep so much of it into other types of accounts, keeping it lower than it used to be.

Yet M1 continues to be calculated.

Let me see if I can find something on this on the Fed-St. Louis website.
