Jont,

Thank you for the link.

11/13/98 AG Edwards reiterates maintain
11/13/98 Bear Stearns reiterates buy, fabulous qtr, raise estimates
11/13/98 Goldman Sachs reiterates recommended list buy, raised 1998 from $1.03 to $1.05, 1999 from $1.28 to $1.38
11/13/98 Hambrect & Quist downgraded from buy to hold on valuation only, qtr in line
11/13/98 Morgan Stanley Dean Witter reiterates outperform, raise target from $75 to $78
11/13/98 Paine Webber reiterates attractive, sales strong, component prices more normal

Most of the analysts' target prices are between 70 and 80, which will not be satisfying the little investors like us. We have been spoiled in the past few years and always expect the target will be 50 to 200 percents more than the current price, so we can make quick money in just a few months. I am afraid that people will be running out of patience and rotate money into internet stocks, especially the recent high flying IPOs.

Among the analysts, I like the Morgan Stanley Dean Witter most. Raising target from 75 to 78. Man..., What the heck?!

Jont...

Its amazing isnt it. One boutique brokerage house downs DELL and CNBC reports that all day. There must have been 20-25 reinterations of buy/strong buy. Yet those calls are not given equal footing with Ash Kuku and H & Q' downgrade.

BTW internuts getting spanked.

Jont,
Hi!!! Thanks for the link and the info....there appears to be some scrambling around...of course we know that things change in an instant...Michael talking again today tells me the same thing...Dell is fine...his smile tells me not to worry...plenty more where this came from...it really is an insult to Dell the way some of these "experts" are challenging their results and "predicting" the future ....I hope Dell blows the doors off the fourth quarter and does bar some of them from future meetings...they certainly aren't worthy of the information Dell is giving them...they turn and "create" a name for themselves by sinking Dell prior to the leak...IMO all is well at Dell...

Best, kemble
