Realtick III gives you the charting, indicators, some fundementals, Level II (the usual stuff). It also gives you different ways to place your order. You can select from ARCA, SOES, Selectnet, or Island for NASDAQ stocks. Listed stocks have to be placed through ISI which is the brokerage firm MB Trading uses. With ARCA, Island , and Selectnet you can join the Bid/Ask and if you get filled then you have already beat the spread. It's not always easy to buy at the Bid or sell at the Ask in a fast market but it's pretty easy to do in a slow market. I know I'm not very good at explaining this stuff. If you want a better explanation I would suggest you go over the the MB Trading thread and talk to funk. He seems to understand this stuff pretty well.
