Ed, I think these shorting house go by the book. They look at the financial, they then estimate what will it take to stay afloat and they translate this into "additional shares". Hey, sometimes these houses are the one that provide the additional financing required and turn around and sell the shares to the public. It will be interesting to see where is the share count now, the shorts surely follow that closely, and if that count is now above 30 MM shares, you could bet your bottom dollar that the recent decline is due to these shares coming on the market and not necessarily the shorts. The shorts, if they are in play here, surely know.
