Sorry, I'd like to defer to an expert, or at least chaz hughes. He probably got an A+ in law 101.

My point was only that American Jurisprudence is the basis for our systems of law and justice. Where does it come from. Well I was hoping someone would point out the foundation at some point rests on moral philosophy. From moral philosophy, judgements must be made about the application of the philosophy. Then we have some sort of theoretical structure and finally prescription and service delivery of law and justice.

Now its usually only that last point we the people are attending to. We want law that serves us or benefits us the most and if we are considerate of others we also want it to be a just system.

Looking over our shoulders we generally agree that we have a corrupt or at least ineffective justice system in America. The lefties and righties, of course, both think they are riding Tonto's horse trying to keep the Lone Rangers mask from falling off.
