I'm in EGGS w/ 4000....hope that speculation, hype, xmas internet shopping fever, etc... would soar EGGS to the 20s....Saddam will back out again...he just wanted to tease us...we should have Arnold to erase him back in 1990...

CMGI - chart looks good for a continued short. Ready to take out 13MA. Resistence at 63-65. I bought Dec 70 puts a few days ago.

XCIT - heading lower. Bumping its head at 50, couldn't hold today. Purchased Dec 50 puts today.

Internet charts are looking a weee bit overbought. With a continued surge in the DOW, I expect to take out about 10-15% of the internet paper wealth next week.....

Any opinions? Let's try to counter all the hypers here. Let's talk fundamentals for the weekend.

I'm looking for a tech adjustment on Monday....

Joe, actually IOM tanked 10 pts during PC EXPO, not COMDEX.
IOM hit it's high last year (16 1/4) two weeks after COMDEX.
You still short?

Joe, Didn't know that about Comdex. Interesting. Are you still confident in XYBR and IRSN technology? Seemed so promising earlier in the year. Sorry, I am an IOMANIAC, too. Can't help it...just love their equipment. Too many shorts on their stock tho.

I get the feeling that regardless of the world issues that may arise over the weekend, we will see further gains in speculative stocks next week. I also feel that the first week of December will see major correction of 10 pct. which will continue through the holidays on deflation driven layoffs, portfolio churning, Y2K concerns and capital gains tax positioning.

Like last year, first week of January should lead us North again. But if there are no MAJOR screw ups caused by Y2K after 1st of 1999, irrational exuberance should continue. If that happens, Y2K stocks could take a big hit. Time will tell. What do you think?

There were several great plays this week that took several days to work threw. Someone mentioned INFO on Tuesday at 2 5/8. I signed up for cybersleuth that day. There was GBIX from last week at 5 1/2, GMAI mentioned last week, and MCOM mentioned yesterday at 4 3/4, NAVR at 3 11/16. There were some doggies also like REDB and CCTI. You can tell who is posting garbage. This from a non-TM member who just follows the thread and does the DD. Probably 000's just like me. Look at that NSPK for example. TM lemmings since WSJ hit the street have infiltrated your thread. You're right, the quality has decreased in the last 2 weeks and the quantity of posts has gone to almost 100 per hour. Most a bunch of garbage.
