If it's of any consolation, I strongly suspect that CAI's 60% equity stake in CS Wireless will also become extinguished upon restructuring its $400M debt. Or, in this particular case, CAI and Heartland may influence CS in assessing the value of its spectrum in such a way that neither operator is completely extinguished. This ought to be interesting...

BTW, the FCC has scheduled the re-auction of the remaining LMDS licenses (those which either received no bids in the original auction or defaulted) to begin April 27, 1999.
