vip, I agree 100%. I just got to see the tape of the Mikey interview. I was very impressed. The message he is sending is that Dell is not dependent on any one particular product or market. Dell is a diverse company with diverse products that are growing at astronomical rates (i.e., servers, workstations, notebooks, and now storage). More and more customers are ordering online as demonstrated by the dramatic growth in Dell's online orders to > $10 million per day. This gives Dell the advantage of doing business at lower costs. In a recent article in US News and World report, the "Tech Know" generation was discussed. This talks to the experienced user, estimated at 40 million in the US alone, that knows what they want in a computer and represents the ideal target market for online ordering. It stands to reason that an extremely large percentage of these users will order Dell computers based on price/performance ratings (a recent article published on this thread had Dell lead in all major PC categories).

We will all have a good laugh about yesterday in a year from now when the stock triples again.

:o)
