already checked out your post at FRO site and read URL. It was interesting that the article mentioned "merger monday". LU is rumored to maybe announce on mon.

Without going back and digging through financial numbers to figure it out, is there any reason to think the possible suitor would be qwst?

If not, my money would be on FON or BLS.

Not really a rumor. Just a surmise, based on an article appearing in CBS Marketwatch about stocks to look at for 1999. Author mentioned Frontier as a good stock and then surmised that it might be a takeover stock when and if. This must be the way that rumors start. Check out the article on CBS Marketwatch.
