The Vancouver Sun says in a half-page diamond stock feature in its Thursday
edition that Canada's diamond play is feeding investor expectations.
Reporter Barbara Aarsteinsen notes that analysts say that Canada's
fledgling diamond industry is at a vital juncture. If the results are
encouraging, the rest of the world will start taking Canadian seriously as
a top diamond producer. That may eventually lead to a consolidation phase
involving mergers and acquisitions. In the process, diamond stocks may
start getting more attention in the market. Newsletter writer John Kaiser
says that Ashton has come back after being bashed down and it is now
hovering at a level at which it needs to meet expectations to stay there.
He says the stock could go ballistic on the upside if the K14 results
conform to or surpass expectations, but we should wait to see the results.
Canaccord Capital analyst David James sees Winspear hitting $5 a share
within a year.
