Posts turning blue and purple.... Bbruin, complaining that his already-read posts aren't showing up as purple: "I think this started happening when I changed my bookmark URL to include my user id and password." That makes sense... you've changed the URL by which you access SI (by adding the password string to it), and the browser decides between blue and purple by doing a fairly stupid string compare... so it doesn't know you read those. If you use the new password-ized URL in the future, you'll go back to the behavior you're used to. If you pop in and out of password-ity, just like if you were to switching between talk.techstocks.com and www.exchange2000.com, you will see posts that you didn't appear to read. Does this make sense? If it doesn't I'll try again, or let someone else take a stab at it. Dick
