Congratulations on your excellent program to stay loose and retain cash for bargains.
There have been too many factors to tell exactly what Dell
would do at earnings time.
Would have to guess the following.
1.That MR EP would directly challenge Dell on Nov. 11
2.That Paula would settle the case
3. That the Congressmen would shoot themselves in the foot over the Lewinsky affair
4. That Mr C. would threaten a war
5. That whisperers would talk about 35 cents earnings
etc
Being unable to know these things, leads to concentration
and focus on Dell corporation performance, where everything is rosy and hunky-dory.
Buying on the dips is an excellent choice.
Whether to sell Dell at an(apparent) high is an individual choice In my case am unable to do that since taxes would kill me (bought
it first 5 years ago).
Meanwhile I keep my spare cash fairly well invested (mostly in Web stocks). and when or if Dell drops to say 56, will sell those stocks and buy more Dell.
Good luck
God, the bears have really torn up this place today, knocked over the mailbox, tipped over the trashbins, scared the chickens, chased the bulls all over the back pasture, tore divots out of the golf course, sheeeeeeeez
Take a week to get things fixed right again
