P-Com, Inc. Receives Purchase Orders in Excess of $2.0 Million From Taiwan Service Providers
CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1998--P-Com, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS:PCMS - news), announced today that it has received purchase orders from service providers in Taiwan for the supply of radio systems.
The orders, valued in excess of $2.0 million, are part of a nationwide network rollout for GSM 1800/900 services. These services provide data, including fax and voice, to the nearly 23 million residents of Taiwan. The rollouts include nationwide and regional services throughout Taiwan. The government of Taiwan expects the usage of these services to increase from its present penetration.
P-Com, Inc. develops, manufactures and markets network access systems for the worldwide wireless telecommunications market. The point-to-point, spread spectrum, and point-to-multipoint radio links provided by P-Com are designed to satisfy the network requirements of cellular and personal communications services, corporate communications, public utilities and local governments.
