So if in future First Call accurately predicts earnings increase of 60%+ and DELL doesn't beat that with an 80%+ increase, the stock will remain flat resulting in serious PE shrinkage? That's a great buying opportunity - no?

"If next time DELL only meets or beats by one cent, it had better stay around 60, otherwise, a more dramatic freefall is coming."
Besides the obvious ignoring growth, can't anyone see that if DELL had not just split 2:1 we WOULD HAVE BEAT estimates by 2-3 cents! Can't anyone see how irrelevant it it whether you beat by 1 cent or 2 cents?

Larry, re:<<I do see strong support at 60 and 55.>> In looking at my charts, I see support, although weak, in the area of 64/65. The stock is still trading above its 50 day moving average, and within the upper Bollinger Band. I see the stock ended the day very close to the 64/65 support level.

Larry, I mentioned a number of times that Dell needs to cool the PR and guide the ANALysts lower a la Mr. Softy. He should have figured this out by now. MD has set the bar too high.

NO ONE responded to my posts. Doesn't anyone out there have an opinion on this matter??

Imagine what would have happened if Mr. Dell had done this BEFORE earnings report......we would be going UP like crazy. Someone at the company needs to take a basic psychology course. gg

Imagine this: Mr. Dell reports a month ago:" We are seeing our internet sales slowing a little this quarter"......opps, I was wrong we actually are doing 10MILLION per day. "

Now most out there would say he was lying......I agree....so he needs to phrase the statements carefully.......How about" We wish our internet sales were doing better this quarter" ???

Still a fantastic company.
