>>>AWRE modem in Intel???<<< I doubt AWARE will ever supply modem to

Intel. Maybe supply technology...

Anyway, if that kind of news did come out, it would be too late for you to get in.

My feeling is Aware will not make much in next few years. Remember Sony Beta video recorder and Apple? Even with the superior technology, if the company is too greedy trying to make money before their product becomes "standard", they will be killed.

I think & I hope Aware will share the technology... almost free in the beginning. But once it becomes standard, then they will make some $$.

Larry,
Enjoyed Yours, BillV, and Scrapps recent postings. You guys are great when it comes to making your point and elbowing the other guy in the ribs at the same time. (doesn't take much to entertain me I know). -Eric

INTEL planning to put AWARE MODEM on it's next mother board.
Now that would be good to know

Does it matter to you if its Lucent/Compac/Awre instead of Intel?

Lucent Technologies' Digital Modem Chip Set Selected for New Series of Compaq Presario PCs
<snip>
Lucent plans to make its chip set compliant with the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) recommended standard for 1.5 mbps technology, called G.992.2 (or G.Lite). Aware, Inc., is providing ITU G.992.2-compliant technology and software for Lucent's DSP1690. ''Through our work with Lucent, we have been able to provide a flexible Digital Subscriber Line solution to the PC industry,'' said Michael A. Tzannes, president and chief executive officer of Aware.
