well, it seem as if it is only in America, that cannot organize their lives to such an extent that they seem to REQUIRE massive cars. It probably would be better to own two smaller cars and take both of them in the unusual circumstance of taking the whole family somewhere. I find that I am in the car alone about 90% of the time and I don't need this massive Montero that gets 13 MPG [downhill] and the ONLY reason that I drive it is because gasoline prices are not important to me. Charge me another $3.00/gal at the pump vs. the guy next to me that gets his at 75 cents, and all of a sudden, I become a little more environmentally friendly, I stop sending national tresure over to some kingdom made up of sand and my money...and guess what? I STILL GET TO MY DESTINATION and I have not been inconvenienced. And for the few times that I have been inconvenienced, I will note with some pride that there is NO NATIONAL DEBT...and that with the money we have, we can buy any damn country we want! And I would start with Canada. it's close, mostly speak English, they won't expect a cross border invasion and they have great French speaking maids and chefs...why not?
