Lamar .. Sorry for the lack of response earlier - my cableco's server had some problems and I couldn't log on. (I know, after saying what a wonderful service it is - usually it is!)

I hope that I didn't steer you wrong in downloading IE5. According to J.Crouch, the spell checker in the e-mail program is linked to Office. I find that quite strange, but I will bow to someone's else's knowledge in this. At least you'll have the most up to date IE browser and e-mail program installed and if it's true that you can get Office at Ebay for $30, then that's a great deal.

I have to admit that I'm somewhat flabbergasted at the lack of cable modem availability in large portions of the States. I live in Canada (Vancouver) and while you'd expect large cities like Vancouver to have access to @Home, there are many smaller communities (pop. as low as 3,000) in BC and the rest of Canada that also have access.
