I saw your post on your feeling that the market might fall. I think it was Morgan S. that helped someone buy 7 million puts on the spiders earlier this week. I heard speculation that some of it was for covering a hedge position. I think that someone certainly thinks that the market is ready for a correction. On a different subject, I have a question about the thread you have started here. I have been enjoying your open discussion about investing topics and philosophy. My question is what kind of stock plays are you looking to promote on this site. I have several different investment styles depending upon what I am trying to achieve with each particular stock purchase. I have three different reasons that I purchase a stock. First, I like to buy long run stable growth stocks that will return a market performance. These are for my retirement, regardless of the fact that it is awhile off. Second, I like to buy medium term 1 to 5 year small and mid cap stocks that are going to grow at, hopefully, a better rate than the rest of the market. Lastly, I like to buy momentum stocks for 1 day to 1 year. These are the ones I try to pay the bills with. I agree whole heartedly with a statement you said earlier that you should not fall in love with a stock. Especially with momentum stocks, if they don't work right away they probably won't work. So, once again my question. What kind of stock do you want to talk about on this site. You seem to talk about momemtum plays that can be invested in for a couple of days. I would like to suggest that maybe we could come up with a rating system now before we get to far head of ourselves. This way when a person is suggesting a stock we know what time frame they think it is an investment for and so do we. For example, I traded GMAI on Friday, I knew it was going to be a quick trade and should have better conveyed to others it was going to be a quick trade. If nothing else we should talk about what kinds of trades we as traders like to make. Can you explain a little more about you trading methods and stock picking? I hope this message made sense. Thank you, Brent
