I guess they HAVE to say more specifics; the latest SEC rules on disclosure of Y2k remediation status / expenses etc in 10Q's is very strict.

Based on those 10Q's one can make an educated guess as to the general Y2k status of a company. There even is a site now doing such analysis based on 10Q's (posted that link this week).
