Gopher,

Thanks for the link.

<I guess it is time to stop slating the prez and start cussing the Finance Minister.>

Dang, what a system. Parliament passes a bill after talking about it for years. It then takes a month for the Pres to render his opinion, and now we have to wait (who knows how long, another month??) for the Finance Minister to act. This is truly a fine model of bureaucracy and inefficiency. But wait, I hear it doesn't end with the FM. After the FM acts, it still has to be approved by Savoirman and Power Ranger <ggg>. Fortunately, they are likely to act in a more timely fashion. Unfortunately after Savoirman and PR sign off, there will be an opinion poll to see if the Singapore people in general favor the legislation. If the people approve, they will then send the bill to the United Nations to get their opinion. Finally, I believe that Monica Lewinsky must also sign off.

<Why is it that I think the legislation will come into effect the day after expiration?>

November or December <ggg>?
