An article in today's Globe (saturday) on the comission rates charged in by the Canadian discount brokerages vs. their U.S. counterparts. You at it again Chief?! :)

I am interested in setting up a brokerage account in Canada with the intentions of trading (and shorting) US Stocks. Any one that can help me understand the rules and point me to links would be greatly appreciated. I currently trade with E*Trade and need to check into Canadian rules.
