Well I hope a strong case case long term can be made for unibanco because I own it. I believe it is one of the cheapest banks in the world and seems well run. With Unibanco you get a few other things beside a bank. They are a large insurer, have a strong money management business, strong credit card business, strong internet banking operations, and they also own bits and pieces of different companies in Brazil like 60% of the local blockbuster. If they can manage their assets and liabilities properly they should be ok.
