Hi Jon,

Maybe I need to change brokers, because I'm certain E TRADE will not allow any transactions to take place in the account until the cash is there...even to the point of being stupid. Let's say I wire 10 grand there and buy 10,010 dollars worth of stock, or should I say attempt to. The trade will not go through and I'll get a note posted saying Insufficient Funds.

I guess it would be one thing if I'd placed a trade in the past and had been unable to pay-up, but I of course have never had this happen so I'd guess this is their standard policy. That, or they don't trust people who are crazy enough to buy gold shares :).

May I ask the gang here which brokers (online) allow trading without the funds in the account? Anyone actually pleased with their on-line discount broker?

Thanks.

PB
