More on Buybacks from the Singapore Business Times.........

These provisions are contained in new sections to the Companies
Act -- sections 76B to 76G -- on share buyback and which were
passed in Parliament on Oct 12. President Ong Teng Cheong gave
his assent to the legislation on Nov 9 and it will come into effect at a
date to be decided by the finance minister.

Perhaps more interesting is the news that Creative can buy back their own shares outside the stock exchange if such purchases are approved in advance by shareholders - this could be the vehicle to purchase the rest of Ng and Chay's remaining shares.
