Hi Prosperous. You ask me a question that is just about impossible to answer. I like you can not see the future. The response I am giving to you is only my personal feelings on the question. I would have to say that each individual component of what FNTN will be offering would not be unique in and of itself. But I believe the way they are bringing it all together into one package and what they are offering to their clients will be quite unique. I have seen and heard about other sites that offer only bits and pieces of what FNTN now and will be offering but nowhere to the extent of FNTN.

As to competition for FNTN, this is now to some degree and as they prove to be successful the possible competitors will become more numerous as time goes on. That in my opinion is great. Competition forces companies to be very customer oriented and without that concept in place a company will go down hill fast as we all know. It is usually the first kid on the block as you put it that gains the competitive edge over all the others. That is what FNTN will have in my opinion.

Take a look at all the web sites that are out there and guess what, most of the biggest ones are the ones who were the first and have continued to provide additional services to the public. We have to remember that FNTN is way beyond a web site as such, they are an INTRANET Provider. Providing services to the main business stream not just individuals who sign up for a $29.00 monthly service or some type of one time annual fee charge.

FNTN is far from showing all it's cards to the general public and for that matter even the investors. And anyone who comes along and try's to do what FNTN has accomplished and continues to build on will be at least a year behind FNTN. Look at how long FNTN has spent in getting to where they are today.

Prosperous, remember these are only my perceptions on what you ask.

Maybe Tomato Man, Wiz, Wally, Don or some others would offer their insight into what you ask. I would be interested as I am sure most other would too.

Best regards,

Bill Fortune III

Prosperous: I think Bill did a good job of answering your question. I will add this - I had reported on the estimated jump time on competition being a minimum of 9 months to as much as 18 months from date of deployment. This estimate was quoted to me by Michael Sheppard a few months ago during my visit to corporate HQ. Also, the issue of competition was not really of great concern to MS - he expects it. He told me then that on a product-by-product basis FNTN already has competition. As Bill mentioned in some detail, what is unique about FNTN is their mix of services, and better prices.
FNTN WILL be first to market with this new mega-commodity. The lead time will help establish them as a major player. An ever-expanding mix of new technology (thank you Siemens) and good pricing will help keep them competitive.
In theory, with each new competitor comes a larger client base since this is a pretty new field and competition brings it to the forefront. There's always room for both Macys AND Gimbels, MCI AND Bell, Intel and.. Microsoft and.. well, forget the last two - but you get the idea.
Regards,
Wally
