Thought I would post a little history. In 95 the late season drill hole results were out Dec 11. In 96 no late season program. In 97 the last assay results were reported Dec 12.

Nov 17 1995
Mr David Patterson reports The construction of a fully winterized base camp at its South Voisey Bay project 90 km south of the diamond fields discovery area has been completed. The camp is 5 km south of Donner's primary drill target, within a valley in a well timbered area. Winter weather conditions are not expected to cause any delays, as drill crews will have complete snowmobile access to the sight of the drill target. Drilling will begin by the end of November 1995 on schedule, with results expected in mid-December 1995. The drill target is on 100% Donner owned land.

Last bits of news:

Sept 23
Upcoming Drilling To Be Focused Near The Suture
Donner together with its joint venture partners will be drilling a number of widely spaced holes on properties located along the suture in order to expand the geological model.

Oct 5
Drilling continues on targets throughout the South Voisey Bay Project. Promising drill targets have been identified through the integration of geology, airborne geophysical results and ground geophysical results, including Pulse EM and gravity, on the North Gabbro, South Gabbro, the Suture Zone to the east and the intervening area between the North Gabbro and South Gabbro and the Suture Zone. Pulse EM and regional gravity surveys continue to be carried out over the North Gabbro and South Gabbro.

Oct 30
Both gravity and pulse EM geophysical surveys continue to be carried out over the South Voisey Bay Project. Drill testing of targets is expected to continue until late November.

Not much in the way of news. Why the blackout?

Have they drilled the Suture Zone? If they did and found something they might want to keep it quite so they could stake additional properties to the north, south and west?

Sept 23 release concentrated almost exclusively on the Suture. Oct 5 states that drilling continues throughout the SVB project. They also report promising drill targets identified in the three zones but pulse EM and gravity continue only on the North and South Gabbro. Could it be that they were drilling the Suture Zone while they continued with geophysical work on the North and South Gabbro.

It would not be the first time a company has surprised the market with results that no one expected and it seems to me that Donner is putting out some pretty vague NR's lately.
