John,

I have been wondering how all the people that are buying generators intend to fuel them. I am sure that most generators purchased are gasoline. How many gallons of gas will these people be storing around the house? If we truly have major grid power outages, where do these people think they will find gasoline? The service stations require power also.

To make this post somewhat on topic, if it comes down to gold being the predominant medium of exchange I think you will also need lot of lead to keep it (and a way to make it go very fast).imho
