I can see you are all over the map. I don't think I am in any positions to say to you how to play options. For those deep-in-the-money options, you may just play underlying directly (adjusted according to delta) to avoid liquidity problems and to save commissions too. One bad judgement may cause you heavily, just like what happened to LTCM. Also, if you sure enough about the underlyings, you may just buy the calls at the same time while you sell the puts (you probably have already tried that).

Agreed w/ you about DELL. DELL is still in a better shape than it was during UPS strike. In a short term, people may be worried about next quarter's earning. If we are in a slow-down situation in the next year, people will pay more attention on earnings than price levels or PE. I don't see too many problems in MSFT, YHOO and the drug stocks.
