Tom Trader posted a link to a message on the Silicon Investor thread which ran through the reasons why there was a problem.

I haven't any problems recently, by the way. Normally everything is fine. The problem was only with SI interaction.

I would dig up the specific post for you but I'm late for a dinner engagement. It was on the Welcome to Silicon Investor thread, though. I'm pretty certain of that and it was only within the past week that it was posted. It's wasn't @Home nor SI that was faulted, in any event. The reason was more along the lines of the routers connecting Mae West and East with routers, I think it was.

As I was saying to LG, by the way, DBC's up time has been excellent on cable.

chuck--

wasnt the old server farm in kansas city, or somewhere close to it?

that may explain the speed problems...KC is a better location. or it might just be that GNET decided SI didnt need THAT much bandwidth<G>.

good luck to all,
trey
